Photos and Face DataWhat we collectWhen you use the app you provide a portrait photograph — taken with your camera or imported from your photo library — that contains an image of your face. This photo is the only personal data that enters the processing pipeline. We do not collect, extract, or store:- Facial geometry or face embeddings
- Biometric identifiers derived from your face
- Face-recognition data of any kind---How your photo is used — step by stepNormalisation (on your device)
The image is decoded, orientation is corrected, and it is downscaled to a maximum of 2000 px and re-encoded as JPEG.No data leaves the device.Lighting check (on your device)
Pixel brightness is sampled to check exposure quality. No image is stored or transmitted. Background removal (third-party cloud — Pixa)
The normalised JPEG is uploaded to the Pixa API for AI background removal.
This is the only step where image data leaves your device.ID photo composition (on your device)
Pixel values on the returned image are scanned to estimate head position and produce a correctly framed ID crop. No face-recognition model is used.Export / print sheet (on your device)
The final image is resized to specification and assembled into a print sheet. Saved to your photo library only when you explicitly tap Save.---Third-party processing — Pixa (Pixelcut)Background removal is performed by Pixa, operated by Pixelcut Inc. Your portrait photo is transmitted to their background removal API. The processed image is returned to your device immediately. We do not receive, cache, or retain the photo on our own infrastructure.Pixa's handling of uploaded images — including their own storage, processing, and retention practices — is governed by their Privacy Policy. No other third-party image processing service receives your data in production.
